Taking its title from a poem by artist Seher Shah, We saw an endless cycle examines how artists bear witness to the city through intimate gestures such as walking, recording, mapping, and reinterpreting urban landscapes. The exhibition navigates various scales of our
understanding of the city—from the collective imagination of modern metropolises to the embodied experiences of individuals traversing its spaces.
Set in Jeddah, a cosmopolitan port city shaped by transformation, the exhibition offers audiences a lens into the recurrent motifs and practices shaping our understanding of the urban.
The exhibition features artworks and archival materials, including works from the Art Jameel Collection, new commissions, and loans.
